Jharsuguda Airport
Rocks & Roots partnered with the Vedanta to enhance the landscape experience at Jharsuguda Airport, one of the key regional hubs in Odisha. Our goal was to develop a green airport environment that is clean, welcoming, and regionally responsive—contributing to both passenger experience and environmental sustainability.The design respected the airport’s functional dynamics—ensuring security, visibility, and access control—while introducing greenery that complements the local climate and ecological context. Our work created a visual identity rooted in Odisha’s landscape language, while aligning with AAI’s sustainability vision
Green Planning
- Landscape planning for terminal frontage and approach road
- Plantation of hardy, native species suited to regional weather and minimal maintenance

- Turf and flowering zones near passenger entry/exit pathways

Impact
